“This email is to provide my views on the experiences I have had with Spire Assist and the care they have provided to the young people I have referred to their services over the years. I have been a qualified social worker for 20 years and have worked in many different settings in both the statutory and voluntary sectors within local authorities around the country. During this time, I have made referrals to dozens of services to provide child care to troubled children and teenagers. I can say with full confidence that Spire Assist have been one of the best agencies I have ever used to take care of my children and young people and I would highly recommend their services to any local authority in the country.

I get the sense that their services are committed and truly care about the needs of the children I refer. Furthermore, not all agencies can work with children that have high emotional needs and behaviours that challenge. However, Spire Assist have proved time and time again that they are able to care for the most vulnerable and traumatised children in society and promote positive change for all the young people I have referred. The staff are excellent and they provide a warm, caring and stable home environment for all the young people they work with. Whenever, I speak to my young people they often tell me that they feel wanted and listened too.

I always enjoy visiting the placements provided by Spire Assist because there is always something positive to hear about the progress that my young people have made. I always know that Spire Assist is meeting the needs of my young people because, when I visit them, they are always happy, even when they are going through difficult periods concerning their emotional needs

I always find that their communication with me is always on time and the management always ensures that things are followed up on and any significant events are communicated in a timely manner. The young people in their care are, as far as I am concerned, safeguarded and staff go above and beyond to protect and promote their safety. The young people I have had in their care not only improve their emotional wellbeing but also develop their practical skills to learn to be independent and to form and maintain positive relationships with their peers and adults.

As earlier mentioned, I would refer any of my children and young people to Spire Assist in future and would highly recommend other local authorities to do so."
